The Hermantown Hawks won a nail biter in overtime yesterday against Luverne in the Section 7a Quarterfinal match up.  The way yesterday was playing out, upsets were in the air and we talked with longtime Hermantown Coach Bruce Plante about what was going through their minds, the match up ahead against St. Cloud Cathedral, and how the team is doing.

While UMD Women's Hockey Team  may have fallen to Wisconsin 4-1 in Sunday's WCHA Final Faceoff, Bulldogs sophomore goalie Maddie Rooney made a save that proved to be the highlight of the game.

The Hermantown Hawks boys hockey team entered Wednesday night's 7A Championship against the Greenway Raiders looking to punch their 8th straight ticket to the state tournament and defend their Class A title from last year. Led by Jesse Jacques and Tyler Watkins, the Hawks were able to do just that.

The Minnesota Wild are looking to win now, and that is evident by them trading for Phoenix Coyotes forwards Martin Hanzal and Ryan White.

Three members of the Hermantown Boys Varsity Boys Hockey Team were named as finalists for Mr. Hockey and the Frank Brimsek award.

The UMD Bulldogs' mascot Champ is asking for your help.  The #1 flag has been flying high over campus because both the UMD Women's Volleyball Team and Bulldogs' Men's Hockey Team have been ranked number one for a total of 15 weeks.  That means the flag has been out in the elements and has been taking a beating.
