Duluth Veteran Amputee To Receive “Smart Home,” Groundbreaking Ceremony on September 25

Marine Cpl.  Mark Litynksi served two tours in Afghanistan for his country.  During his second tour, he volunteered to take point on foot patrol.  Sadly, he stepped on an IED that day, losing both legs, and his left arm.  He also suffered a broken pelvis.  After two months, he was already up and walking on his first set of prosthetics. Now Cpl. Litynksi will have a custom Smart Home built for him and his family.

Bank President Locks Staff in Bank Vault For Safety During Tornado, Risking His Own Life

Earlier this week an EF4 tornado ripped throw Pilger, Nebraska.  Gene Willers, a Midwest Bank President rushed his staff of eight into the bank vault to take shelter, but there was a problem.  Someone would have to remain outside to lock it.  Gene took that responsibility himself.

One-Armed War Vet Wows Crowd by Catching Foul Ball [VIDEO]

“I thought I was going to catch the ball or go over the railing,” said Michael Kacer of the foul ball he caught at Yankee Stadium Friday.

College Football Player Rescues Man By Lifting 3,500 Pound Car [VIDEO]

University of South Florida football player Danous Estenor sprung right into action when he saw that tow truck driver Pedro Arzola had become trapped under the Cadillac Seville he had been trying to load onto his truck.

Two men and Arzola’s hysterically screaming wife hadn’t been able to move the 3,500 pound car at all.  But the six-foot-three-inch, 295-pound offensive lineman, who was on his way to get a bite to eat, took a crack at lifting it all by himself.
