As we reported earlier today, Duluth Mayor Emily Larson announced that Enger Tower, one of the city's most prominent landmarks, would be lit in rainbow-colored lights in honor of the victims of the shooting in Orlando over the weekend.
Even though foggy, cold, and rainy conditions persisted through the evening, hundreds of people visited Enger Tower in Duluth as it was lit up in purple as a tribute to the iconic Minnesotan and musical legend, Prince.
Sadly, almost everyone knows someone who has had or has cancer. There are many types of cancer and the month of September is dedicated to raising awareness of Ovarian Cancer. Not only is money raised, but they bring awareness in a very unique and interesting way that involves two of our iconic landmarks in the Northland and the color teal.
Two of our iconic landmarks, the Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Tower will, color up on Friday and Saturday, September 12 and 13th for Charlene's Lights, a Foundation for Ovarian Cancer. It will provide fantastic photo ops and there are other events planned for you to get involved.
Fireworks lit the skies over the Twin Ports for 4th of July celebrations, but the Duluth Lift Bridge and Enger Tower offered patriotic light shows of their own. Red, white, and blue lights chased around Enger Tower Friday night, offering a cool and festive spectacle on the Duluth skyline.
The City of Duluth was just voted #1 in the Country for best Town in America to live in. It's possible for you to OWN a piece of Northland history for residents and visitors to enjoy. It's a conversation piece while enhancing the look of the Enger Tower property. It's a guarantee that many people will enjoy using it. Read on, I'll tell you how you can purchase a historic park bench.
Absolutely gorgeous! Not only Enger Tower, which has been "pinked" for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but also the new BIGGER gazebo. The cool thing about the smaller gazebo is that my daughter had her grad pics taken there, just before they built this one. They're going to officially open the gazebo today with a ribbon cutting and you're invited!
Royalty is coming to the Northland! King Harald and his wife Queen Sonja will be visiting Duluth to dedicate Enger Tower. They will also be attending a luncheon at the Decc at 12:30 where you have a chance to dine with the royal couple. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased by calling 218-730-5309 or email email@example.com. There's also a shuttle service from the luncheon to the dedication of the tower.
