It's National Bike to Work Day this Friday and the DTA is getting involved.  Now I understand the premise is to actually "bike to work", but with the hills in Duluth no one is going to jump on ya if you take the DTA back home, that hill after a long days work could be brutal.

A 60-day construction project on downtown Duluth's Michigan Street has forced the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) to temporarily relocate its Duluth Transportation Center operations.

I had the opportunity to bring Nathan Bentley into the B105 studio to talk about what's new at Bentleyville for 2016.  Not only did we talk about that, but we discussed the best time to go to Bentleyville, what you should bring and a lot more.

The Duluth Transit Authority is commemorating the grand opening of a Jefferson Lines' ticket counter today and you're invited to the Discover Duluth Transportation event.

I am fortunate, I am able to drive a car to the grocery store for my groceries.  It wasn't always that easy, I use to live in apartment and while I could drive to the grocery store and home, I had to carry my grocery bags up three flights of stairs, locking and unlocking both my car and apartment door each time.  That STILL was easier than people who have to take a bus to the grocery store and wre

The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) and the City of Superior will provide special evening service between downtown Duluth, downtown Superior and the Head of the Lakes Fair, now through this Saturday, August 27.  This alleviates trying to find a parking spot, saves gas and you can drink beer without having to worry about who is going to drive home.  Do you need a ride?

Duluth's downtown sidewalk days always brings crowds of people together to enjoy shopping, eating, music, a classic car show and Harley revue, street yoga and a 5K and of course, visiting.  Did I mention eating?  All this activity temporarily closes streets and detours the Duluth Transit Authority.

The DTA Transportation Center was closed on Monday, April 25 for construction on Michigan Street.  They had expect the closure to last about 30 days, but it took a bit longer.  The wait is over and it's opening this Saturday, July2.

THIS is exciting and yet another sign that summer is upon us (although you can't tell by how cold and windy it was last night)!  Soon we'll see the Iconic red Port Town Trolley lumbering through Duluth.  It's definitely a tourist favorite, but for locals it's a great way to get around Duluth in style!

The DTA Transportation Center will be closing on Monday, April 25 because they are planning on closing Michigan Street for construction.  They expect the closure to last about 30 days.  That doesn't mean that the DTA service will be suspended, you just need to catch it at at different location.
