Yesterday (March 13) Dierks Bentley made an appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ to perform a song he contributed to the Bob Dylan tribute album, ‘Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International.‘ The curly-haired singer offered up his version of Dylan’s ‘Señor (Tales of Yankee Power)’ with progressive bluegrass band the Punch Brothers.
Dierks Bentley finds himself back at No. 1 this week, as his latest single ‘Home’ tops the country singles chart. ‘Home’ marks Bentley’s second consecutive No. 1 single and ninth career chart-topper, following ‘What Was I Thinkin’,’ ‘Come a Little Closer,’ ‘Settle for a Slowdown,’ ‘Every Mile a Memory,’ ‘Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go),’ ‘Feel That Fire,’ ‘Sideways’ and ‘Am I the Only One.’
The past week has been quiet an exciting one for Dierks Bentley, as his highly-anticipated sixth studio album, ‘Home,’ finally arrived in stores.

The Recording Academy announced today that Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley are confirmed presenters for this year’s awards show. Te 2012 Super Bowl takes place on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis, and the city is taking the hosting of the NFL event seriously. The powers-that-be have invited some country stars to be a part of the festivities. The city’s Pan Am Plaza is being turned into something called Super Bowl Village from Jan. 27 through Feb. 4, and country stars Dierks Bentley and Darius Rucker are on board to perform during those dates. Bentley and Rucker are essentially on the entertainment road leading up to the actual big game.

For a guy who’s on the road as much as Dierks Bentley, naming a song ‘Home‘ could be seen as a sort of wistfully ironic joke. But in the case of Bentley’s latest single, currently hovering outside the Top 40 at country radio, the title ‘Home’ has more than one meaning.
“I think that title of that song is special to me because I’m coming home to country music,” he told CMT during a recent interview. “I’m on the road all the time, so everywhere we go has a hometown feel.”
