Hot country star David Nail broke through to mainstream success in a big way with 'Let It Rain,' but he's hoping to show his fans something new with his next record, which he says is "unlike anything I've ever done."

David Nail‘s life over the past couple of years has gone from 0-60, it seems. The star is finally being recognized for his many talents — singing, songwriting and showmanship — which have lead him to do some pretty cool things, truth be told.
Nail landed the slot of singing ‘God Bless America
David Nail is one of many artists scheduled to perform at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville during the 2012 CMA Music Festival this week. Nail will kickoff the Hot Nights at the Hall concert series with his performance, which is slated for Tuesday night (June 5).
“Everyone has that song or songs,” David Nail says of his latest single, ‘The Sound of a Million Dreams.’ “That’s the most amazing thing about music: the way songs can hold your life. It does for me, and for just about everybody I know, so I didn’t want this video to take anything away from the dreams that other people have in their music.”
Wherever David Nail is today, he is one happy man. This week, the Missouri native is experiencing what it’s like to sit atop the country singles chart with the nation’s No. 1 song. ‘Let It Rain,’ penned by Nail and hit songwriter Jonathan Singleton, knocked the Zac Brown Band‘s ‘Keep Me in Mind’ out of the top slot after multiple weeks.
David Nail’s career took plenty of twists and turns before he finally found his audience — including a busted deal at Mercury Nashville and a stint as a baseball coach. But when he finally released his debut album in 2009, its title ‘I’m About to Come Alive,’ proved prophetic.
Now, Nail is one of country’s hottest freshman acts, and he’s looking to build on that success with the release of his second album ‘The Sound of a Million Dreams,’ in November.
