Country Throwback

As thousands of Minnesotans prepare to head out to the lakes for the 2015 fishing opener, I thought it would be a great time to use the Country Throwback to bring back a video starring some of our great listeners.

With Easter weekend upon on us, I started thinking about songs that would relate to the holiday for my Country Throwback.  It didn't take long for this Brad Paisley and Sara Evans duet to rise to the top of my list.

This week, it seems every conversation turns to college basketball and brackets.  For my Country Throwback, I looked for a song that reflects the excitement and madness that the crowd goes through.

Today, Johnny Cash would've been 83 years-old.  The Man In Black passed away in 2003, but his music continues to influence artists from all genres of music.  In honor of the day, Johnny Cash is featured in this weeks Country Throwback.

This weekend is the Polar Bear Plunge, so for my Country Throwback this week I wanted to pick a song that was about water.  Gee, I wonder if there is a song with the word water in it?

Valentines Day is Saturday, so how could I not feel the love with this weeks Country Throwback?  The biggest problem is choosing a song since country music is full of amazing love songs.

When thinking about what song to feature on my Country Throwback this week, my mind wandered to the fate of the Superior ice structure.  Suddenly a Patsy Cline classic became an obvious choice.
