Ever since I bought the album 'Traveler,' I've loved the song 'Fire Away' from Chris Stapleton.   Last night he won Breakthough Artist of The Year for the music video at the CMT Awards.   This is the first time I've seen the video and it really moves you.

Earlier today Cathy and I discovered this new show called "The Ed Bassmaster Show."  Neither of us had heard of it before, but we decided to check out some clips on YouTube.  It looks pretty funny, as he pranks unsuspecting people.   In this clip, he has Justin Moore help him in disguise prank some fans.

The cute, adorable Kellie Pickler has her own reality show debuting on CMT tomorrow night.  It's called 'I Love Kellie Pickler,' and it follows day to day life with her and her husband Kyle Jacobs.  In this sneak peak, we see Kellie's love for animals and her habit of adopting pets.

Adult film star Christy Mack is in bad shape after an alleged beating from her ex boyfriend "War Machine."  He's a former UFC and Bellator Fighter who has an arrest warrant out for his participation in an incident over the weekend.  Dog The Bounty Hunter is on the case.

The CMT Crossroads series is a lot of fun as it's interesting to see who country stars choose to work with.  When Dierks Bentley signed on, he picked the pop group OneRepublic and I think they compliment each other well.

The CMT Crossroads series always seems to have unique combinations.  This is where country stars pick artists from other genres of music to interview and perform of concert of each others music.  Some of the most talked about have included Rascal Flatts and Journey, Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler and Keith Urban with John Mayer.  This time, it was The Band Perry's turn to pair up with someone.

They are one of several exciting country music bands hitting the Northland early next year, The Band Perry.   We are use to hearing their country songs, but get ready for diversity!  CMT will be premiering a Crossroads that features The Band Perry with the American Rock group, Fall Out Boy.  They rock the house and Kimberly is as beautiful as ever!

For me, one of the biggest highlights of the CMT Music Awards was Little Big Town's performance of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain'.  You can't beat this performance for pure vocal power and harmonies, plus adding Keith Urban on guitar is always a great thing (just ask Tim McGraw).  Remember, we still have plenty of room on our Country Fest Express to see Little big Town 'live June 29th.  Just listen t

One of the rowdiest performances Wednesday at the CMT Music Awards was when Florida Georgia Line brought out Nelly to do the song 'Cruise'.  It's already a #1 country hit for the duo, and the remix with Nelly is quickly climbing up the pop charts.
