Cloquet School Board Allows C-E-C Boys Hockey Coach Dave Esse to Keep His Job
In a vote Monday, the Cloquet School Board has decided to keep 14-year boys hockey head coach Dave Esse through the 2013-2014 season.

Lake Superior Conference Boys All-Conference Team for 2013 Announced
The 2013 Lake Superior All-Conference Team was recently announced, and the roster features many big names from local section playoff action. Six Hermantown Hawks, five C-E-C Lumberjacks, Four Denfeld Hunters, two Superior Spartans make up this year's first team, second team, and honorable mention.

Five Duluth area teams remain in the race for a Minnesota Boys Hockey Tournament bid, including Hermantown, Duluth Denfeld, Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, Duluth Marshall, and Duluth East. All five of these teams will be in action Saturday, and ESPN 560 WEBC will have coverage of some of the action.

Once again, I have gained appreciation for another occupation. I learned that walking a mile (or 3 hours) in a bartender's shoes makes for sore feet, beer-soaked jeans and wrinkly fingers!
