Burning Restrictions Still Apply For Parts Of The Northland Until Later This Week
May 14, 2012 The main thing to keep in mind is to check your area for restrictions before you burn, and obtain proper permits so that you are aware of restrictions which may impact you. Best to error on the side of caution on this. While many burning restrictions remain in place, the Department of Natural Resources is lifting them in several northern Minnesota counties yet this week.

March 22, 2012 Even with the rain we've had yesterday and forecast for the next couple of days, we will be dealing with dry, fire fueling conditions this Spring and Summer. The MN DNR is taking steps to protect our environment, as best they can.
