October 27, 2011 The Duluth Police Department has seen a recent increase in day time residential burglaries in the Duluth and Hermantown areas. Most of the homes burglarized had doors that were left unlocked. They say the items taken most often stolen were jewelry and electronics. Police say their investigation has resulted in some arrests, thankfully, and they are continuing to monitor the situation. They also provided some helpful tips to make your home and family safer.
