American Red Cross Urges Everyone To Get Flu Shot Now; Here are Flu Prevention Tips, Flu Symptoms, and When to Call the Doctor

The flu is in the news again this year as cases across the country continue to mount at alarming rates.  In Minnesota alone, over 900 people have already been hospitalized  this season.  This flu season is already being compared to the deadly pandemic of 2009 and, sadly, the recent flu related deaths of young otherwise healthy people in Minnesota are not the only such cases in the United States.  While the flu vaccine is not a guarantee you won't get the flu, it does lower your chances.  The American Red Cross is urging everyone to get flu vaccines now and they offer some great tips for you and your family to be aware of.

What a wonderful feeling, knowing many of our hometown soldiers from the 148th Fighter Wing recently returned safely to their family, their friends, their homes.  I had the honor of hanging with one such Vet this past Friday!
