This is SO COOL! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Maurices and the American Cancer Society have come up with a way to make sure everyone in the Northland knows. They're going to light Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge PINK!

There will be lots of people in town for various reasons this weekend. The obvious, Grandma's Marathon. Then, there's graduation parties and the general tourists that has NO clue how busy it will be in town.
March 30, 2012 If you've never stopped to appreciate the beauty of our gorgeous bridge landmarks, you should. Not just the Aerial Lift Bridge, but the Richard I. Bong too. Not only during the day, but all lit up at night, it's beautiful and I'm sure a delight for our tourists. However, to go globally green, we need to turn the lights off and that's exactly what will happen during Earth Hour. Here's a definition of Earth Hour.
February 23, 2012 Swimming in Lake Superior
If you're from the area, you may not even remember your FIRST time in Lake Superior, because it may have been dipping your tootsies in as a toddler. As you got older you had things to prove, so you jumped in to show your friends you could handle the cold. Then, you may have realized that Lake Superior held so much more possibilities, fishing, boating, rowing and for some, even wind surfing.
August 8, 2011 The City of Duluth is very conscious of the traffic use of our Aerial Lift Bridge. They try to limit the construction closures to when there is the least amount of traffic affected. They are in the process of finishing the painting of the bridge. With that said, if it affects you and your family, here is the latest information you should know about upcoming closures, and why.
May 23, 2011 With summer looming ahead (I love being able to say that!) you're probably planning a lot of family time at the beach on Park Point. Nothing is worse than waiting in the L O N G line of cars to cross over the Aerial Life Bridge, no matter which way you're headed. You either want to get there and lay that beach towel on the hot sand to start soaking up the rays....or, you've had too much sun and fun and you're anxious to get home, showered and slather the aloe lotion on to stop the burn. Either way you're heading, you should know about the new Aerial Lift Bridge schedule that the US Coast Guard has issued.
