The 2013 ESPY Awards are this week, and Adrian Peterson is in the running for a few different awards; including Best Male Athlete and Best Comeback. As AP continues his campaign for the awards, he and blocker Matt Kalil appeared in a new commercial for the award ceremony.

In a vote for who will grace the cover of the 25th anniversary edition of the Madden NFL video game franchise, a classic name beat out Adrian Peterson. In resilient AP fashion, Peterson will still appear on some covers of this year's Madden release; even after coming in second place in voting.

Minnesota Vikings rusher and fan favorite Adrian Peterson appeared on a sports talk show yesterday, discussing topics like the his return from the devastating knee injury. During the interview, Adrian was asked about outspoken former Viking Chris Kluwe, when he made a remark some are viewing as controversial.

Peterson took his injury in stride, proving critics wrong and coming in under 10 yards away from claiming the single-season rushing record. His awe-inspring performance earned him a few accolades including MVP and other offensive honors.

The 2012 season for the Minnesota Vikings was an interesting ride for fans. Returning to the field with several young players, relying heavily on rookies in key positions, and hoping to improve from a 3-13 season the year before; expectations were low.

When Border Battle II ended on Sunday, Vikings fans everywhere had mixed emotions about the result. People were certainly elated about earning a spot in the playoffs, but it was frustrating watching Adrian Peterson rush for 199 yards, falling just 9 yards short of beating Eric Dickerson's NFL single-season rushing record. Some are saying there is still a chance he got the record.
