A Touching Story From The 9/11 Exhibit At The Home Show
I had the honor today of speaking with retired New York City Firefighters at the traveling 9/11 exhibit at the Home & Builders Show today.  They of course were on hand to educate people walking through the exhibit, and to pay tribute to their brothers who died on September 11th.  There is another reason they are there, however.  Danny, a retired firefighter, pulled me aside and wanted to make

Flooding in Carlton County Causes 9-1-1 Phone Issues
Flooding from our recent Spring snrain (snow+rain) storm has caused phone issues in Carlton County.  They have determined the issue is a break in a fiber optic line.  Repairable?  Yes, however, at this time the area that needs to be repaired is underwater and that's compounding the problem.  Crews are working on the situation.

We say "most" because, as it turns out, not everyone was a participant. While FOX, CBS, ABC, CNBC and MSNB

9/11 Memorial Misspells Victim’s Name
In an “oops” of epic proportions, a 9/11 victim’s name was apparently misspelled on the New York memorial unveiled this past weekend. Jeffrey Schreier worked for financial firm Cantor Fitzgerald, and was one of the many from that company killed on September 11, 2001. When his relatives visited the memorial during the 10th anniversary commemorations on Sunday, they were shocked to see his first nam
