It's a weekend of fundraising for two of the athletic teams of Denfeld High School.  The coolest thing is the both are continuing traditions.  The DHS boys hockey team is supporting the Salvation Army's Adopt-A-Family program and the cheer team will be making another appearance at the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl in Florida.

Both teams will be out in the community fundraising for their respective causes.  You can start by supporting the cheerleaders at a delicious spaghetti dinner Friday evening, December 16.  It will be held from 4:30-7:00p at the American Legion Post 71 on Grand Avenue in West Duluth.  Cost is $7 for adults with children 5 and under free.

The boys hockey team sponsor two families during the holidays through the Salvation Army's Adopt-A-Family program.  They have already been out shopping, will be wrapping and then deliver the gifts this week, capping their off-ice time together with bagging groceries at Cub Foods on Saturday.

Both events are more than just fundraising.  It gives the athletes a chance to bond and form lasting memories and friendships.  Please consider supporting one or both of their events.
