School's out and kids across the Northland will be looking for fun things to do throughout the summer.  Kids in Superior, ages 5-11, have a terrific option with the Summer Playground Program.

The Summer Playground Program runs from 11:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday now through August 4.  This provides kids supervised play in a safe environment, with no costs to families.

On-site staff members have been trained in CPR and First Aid and there is a a free lunch and snack program available.

There will also be field trips available and donations are encouraged if your kids plan on taking advantage of them.  Here is a list of scheduled 2017 field trips:

  • Superior Public Library
  • World of Wheels
  • Landmark Lanes
  • Adventure Zone
  • EDGE Waterpark
  • Superior Ice Arena
  • SBA Basketball Skills Day
  • Stand-up Paddleboarding
  • Box Hockey in Billings Park

The Summer Playground Program takes place out of Billings Park, 18th and Oakes Avenue, Gouge Park, Hammond Park, Wade Bowl and Webster Park.
