Superior Water Light & Power Will Be Conducting Surveys On Resident’s Water System
Superior residents received a letter in the mail this week explaining that SWLP will be scheduling times to inspect water systems for cross contamination issues. For customers that participate in the annual furnace Clean and Check, the survey will be done at that time. For other residents, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment.
There is no cost associated with the survey, however any modifications, replacements, or further testing will be the responsibility of the property owner. The goal of the survey is to ensure that no contaminated water can end up in the city's water supply. The main concern is backflow. That's when water is drawn back into the public water system because of siphoning or back pressure.
