The City of Superior is taking applications from artists for an art project that will bring awareness to storm water run off and the connection to our environment. A common misconception among the public is that storm water runoff is treated at the water treatment plant before running into Lake Superior.  That's not the case, and the goal of the art project is to bring attention to storm water drains.

Anyone who works, lives, or attends school in Superior is eligible to submit a design.  The art submission deadline is August 1st, 2018.   There will then be 12 finalists that will be selected and assigned a storm drain to paint.

The City of Superior will supply all paint supplies for the murals and will also power wash the sidewalks before the painting is to be done.
