When we moved to Superior years ago, neither of us knew much about the town.  Everyone in the Twin Ports talks about the great biking trails and paths around Duluth, but Superior rarely gets mentioned.  That's why I was a bit surprised a few years ago to find out that the city actually has it's own forest in the city limits.

It's 4,400 acres making it the third largest city forest in the nation.  That's pretty cool!  There's horesback riding trails, biking trails, hiking trails, and even a paved trail.  We went for a walk yesterday on the Millenium Trail.  (It was so nice to finally get some fresh air.)

The Superior Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce also has some great information on the trails, locations, and level of difficulty.

So lets get out and enjoy nature right in our back yard!  Take the family later this week.  It's supposed to heat up again!
