Superior Mayor Jim Paine Seeks To Lower Landfill Fee and Taxes

Superior Mayor Jim Paine posted on Facebook on Tuesday night that he is going to be asking the city council to lower the landfill fee for the coming year. A price increase scheduled to take place this year after the fee was first introduced. Now he says he hopes to not only repeal the increase, but also lower the fee citing increased revenue from Enbridge to the city.

In the past several years Superior residents have seen increased fees with garbage, recycling, water, and even proposed utility increases from SWLP. It's nice to see that there may be relief on the horizon for citizens that have felt like they have been nickle and dimed.
