Sunday Afternoon Gale Storm Creates Huge Waves At Canal Park [VIDEO]

The wind really picked up this afternoon in the Northland, and driving down Woodland Avenue I noticed the HUGE rolling waves on Lake Superior.  I decided to take a quick detour down to Canal Park to see them up close.  It was remarkable, and some of the biggest waves I've personally witnessed.

The National Weather Service warned of gusts up to 40 knots.  That's 46 mph!  After standing down there for just  a couple of minutes, I believe it.  Check out the video!
