Rain or shine, come visit me at the Superior Downtown Farmers' Market today. I'll be there broadcasting live starting at 11a. I will have your chance to win gift certificates from the Superior Business Improvement District!!! Each week there's new harvests, here's what to expect this week.
I always feel nostalgic when I buy from the Farmers' Market. We use to get great home-grown (with love) vegetables when I was growing up in Wrenshall. It feels good knowing I'm giving my family fresh, healthy , locally-grown veggies! This week, expect cucumbers, string beans, scallions, new potatoes, zucchini, peppers, cherry tomatoes, a few regular tomatoes, onions, jams, maple syrup, condiments, roasted coffees, baked goods, handmade soaps, and plants. There will also be art & craft vendors set up in Center City Park, corner of Tower and Belknap.
Lunch will also be served by the Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary. What's your fancy? Hot dogs, coneys, sloppy joes, ice cream, chips....yummy! And the money they raise will go to non-profit organizations in the Northland. Thank you, ladies!
