While on vacation a mouse took up residency in my office.  I had a candy dish filled with Hershey chocolate kisses and he/she LOVED them.  I stopped in one day and wondered which one of my co-workers was piggy enough to sneak in my office, eat several kisses and leave the wrappers in tiny pieces all over my floor, then, it hit me.  MOUSE!

You really learn a lot about the people you work with when a rodent is involved.  One male co-worker asked if he should tuck his pants in his socks when he was asked to come back to my office.  Another male co-worker acted like it was no biggie until he found some mouse poo on his desk, then the disinfecting wipes came out in full force.

This mouse was no ordinary rodent.  Ken's office is in between mine and the digital teams, one day he got up and went to the digital team's office.  He was gone about five minutes.  When he returned he called out to me, "Cathy!  Come here".  When I walked in his room he was pointing at the floor.  There, in the middle of his office was the tiny chewed remains of a Hershey Kiss wrapper.  The mouse had dined in his office with the surrounding offices buzzing with activity.  Again, no ordinary rodent.

We set old fashioned spring set traps with peanut butter, he/she licked the peanut butter off without setting off the trap.  We set a trap with a Hershey Kiss, he/she ate the kiss without setting off the trap.  We then pulled out the big guns, we used a Mouse Garage in one corner of the room and sticky paper with chocolate chips in another.  The first night....nothing.  The second night, we scored!  The Mouse Garage was $10, the sticky paper was $1.98 for 4 sheets.  Which do you think worked?

Warning:  Graphic Rodent Pic  (and yes, I feel horrible for the little guy/girl)!
