Stephen King Announces Release Date for ‘The Shining’ Sequel, Watch Him Read a Chapter from the New Novel [VIDEO]

One of the most popular horror novels of all time is ready to have its sequel released.  Stephen King's 'The Shining' remains one of his most popular, and the movie also remains an iconic horror experience.  If you've been wondering whatever became of young Danny from that story, you are about to find out.

Stephen King announced that 'Doctor Sleep', the sequel to 'The Shining', will be released September 24th, 2013.  The story will focus on Danny Torrence, the child character from the original story, and his friendship with a twelve-year-old girl who has an amazing shining ability of her own.

I've always loved the original story and the movie, despite Stephen King's objection to it, remains one of the creepiest and effective horror movies ever, in my opinion.  I guess I have a book to read next September, what about you?
