'Star Wars: Episode 7' is bringing back so many familiar faces and names that the question on every fan's lips shouldn't be "Who's coming back?", but rather, "Who isn't coming back?" Warwick Davis may not be the biggest name in the 'Star Wars' saga, but fans will know him well ... and they'll be pleased to hear that he'll be back for the new film.

It's highly unlikely that Davis will play a recognizable character. He took on the role of Wicket the Ewok in 'Return of the Jedi' and the dual role of Weazel and Wald in 'Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace,' so director J.J. Abrams most likely plans to use him for another new role. This is turning into a tradition: Warwick Davis gets cast in at least one film in each 'Star Wars' trilogy.

The announcement comes through a cute video posted on the official 'Star Wars' YouTube channel, which features Davis anxiously waiting by his phone for months, hoping to get called to the 'Star Wars: Episode 7' set. It's not particularly smart or sophisticated comedy, but Davis (as he's proven elsewhere) is a likable screen presence and a good sport. At the very least, it's amusing to see a casting announcement come in the form of a funny little video than a stodgy press release.

'Star Wars: Episode 7' will arrive in theaters on December 18, 2015. Keep your eyes open for Davis as some kind of alien or creature.
