Special Operating Hours for Aerial Lift Bridge and Minnesota Slip Bridge Set For Duluth’s Fourth Fest
The City of Duluth will hold its annual Fourth Fest celebration Monday at Bayfront Festival Park. The gates open at 4 p.m. and live music begins at 4:30. If you plan on being on the water utilizing the Minnesota Slip Bridge or Aerial Lift Bridge, you should be aware of special hours that will be in place on the holiday.
- The Minnesota Slip Bridge (also known as the Blue Bridge) will be lowered and closed to marine traffic from 8:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
- The Aerial Lift Bridge will stay down and be closed to marine traffic from 7:00 pm on July 4th until 1:00 am on the 5th.
The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 10:10 pm. and be sure to look for the Ariel Lift Bridge to lit red, white and blue in honor of the Fourth Of July.
If you park near Bayfront Festival Park, plan on taking your sweet time getting back to your car afterwards or you'll find yourself sitting in it for a very long time waiting to leave. Take a nice stroll or grab a snack and you'll be fine.
