Southbound Highway 61/London Road To Close For Flood Repair

The flood repairs continue across the area and the Minnesota Department Of Transportation has announced closure on southbound highway 61 / London Road beginning Wednesday August 8th. Their press release states that a large culvert beneath Highway 61/London Road was heavily damaged during the June storm and the road adjacent to it was undermined.
Detour routes will be:
Southbound Highway 61/London Road
Motorists on the southbound Highway 61 expressway will be detoured onto Superior Street to 54th Avenue East and then back onto Highway 61/London Road.
Northbound Highway 61/London Road
Motorists traveling north on Highway 61/London Road will not be detoured, however they will encounter a few traffic shifts within the construction area
The repairs are expected to be finished towards the end of August.
