If you're anything like me, the only way to cope with a devastating event like the Las Vegas massacre is to focus on the stories of hope and heroism, which emerge after the shock and dust has settled.

This is one of those stories. I was watching the news the day after everything happened, along with the rest of the world, and this stuck with me. I have watched it over and over.

One victim says he wouldn't be alive without the man who saved him after being shot in the leg. To his surprise, he got the chance to thank him in person.
