Shooting in Duluth, Police Asking for Public’s Help in Active Investigation

Police are asking for your help in a shooting that occurred Saturday night in Duluth.  Can you help?  Here's what we know so far.

On Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at 3:13 AM Duluth Police were called to a residence in the2200 block of West 2nd Street on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located a 27 year old male with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Initial investigation revealed that a resident had a gathering there with several individuals. After the victim was shot, the suspects fled the area. This does not appear to be a random incident.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Essentia Health (St. Mary’s) hospital for a life-threatening injury. The victim is stable, but in critical condition.  The Duluth Police Department is following up on several leads. If anyone has any information about this incident they are asked to call 911.
