Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning and the Minnesota Department of Public Safety recommends you change your smoke and carbon monoxide alarm batteries when you set your clocks back.

I used to be someone who would forget to change detector batteries until they chirped at me to do so.  However, I realize that relying on an inanimate object for such an important task isn't a great idea.
