Part of the fun of throwing a Halloween Party is the unique ideas you create with decorations and food.  Taste of Home is always ready with suggestions to make your party the most attended and talked about!  Here is a recipe for the BOO Beverage that is sure to please and information about the Taste of Home Cooking School coming to the Northland at the end of the month.  You won't want to miss THIS one!

This recipe is easy, takes just a few ingredients and is CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 pints orange sherbet
  • 4 medium ripe banana
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 18 miniature semisweet chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS

In four batches, process the orange juice, milk, sherbet and bananas in a blender until smooth. Pour into glasses. Cut a hole in the corner of a pastry or plastic bag; fill with whipped topping. Pipe a ghost shape on top of each beverage. Position chocolate chips for eyes. Yield: 9 servings.

It’s time for our annual Taste of Home Cooking School presented by Wal-mart where we bring one of Taste of Home magazine’s chefs in to prepare delicious recipes for you live on stage. Wednesday, October 30th at Marshall School Auditorium. Doors open at 5pm, browse vendor booths and get samples from local restaurants. Show begins at 6:30pm.
