There's always a back story of what really happened behind the scenes. With Charlie Brown using child actors to voice the cartoons, working with children sometimes presents a whole set of obstacles.

The Washington Post shared some of those secrets.

Like, Sally, Charlie's sister, almost got the cut. The child actor playing the part was about to lose her two front teeth, so she was rushed into production to finish her part. Lucky she was, she lost her teeth the next day and you couldn't understand a word.

Some of the children had to be fed their lines, word by word or syllable by syllable. In the end, the person cutting the speeches together was the hero.

Many viewers thought this was a true story and sent Charles Shultz candy every year to make up for the bag of rocks that Charlie Brown got.
