Construction on the MultiModal Transportation Center continues and with it comes street changes that will affect your travel in downtown Duluth.  Temporary signs will be in place starting on Wednesday until permanent signs are in place.  Here's what you need to know.

The City of Duluth wants you to know that starting on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, both 2nd and 3rd Avenues West between Michigan Street and Superior Street will permanently become two-way avenues.  This is all part of the plan for the new Duluth Transit Authority's MultiModal Transportation Center that is currently under construction at 3rd Ave West and Michigan Street.  Here is what it will look like when the construction is completed.

Please note that you'll see temporary signs in place to notify motorists.  However, soon there will be new striping and signage installed.  For motorists that frequently use this route in their day, you may experience delays as everyone adjusts to the change.

The City of Duluth thanks you in advance for your patience and adjustment to the new road ways.
