Scotty McCreery And Friends Held-Up In Apartment Invasion

I’ve heard of home invasions before but you would think an apartment invasion would be hard to pull off.  There’s so many people to hear it going down that you’d think the chances of getting caught are much higher.  For some reason, it’s always more shocking to hear it happened to someone famous, but that’s exactly what happened in Raleigh, N.C. to Scotty McCreery!

What a crappy thing to happen just as Scotty was celebrating “schools out”!  He had just  finished his second year at NC State.  Oh yes, you’ve seen him out performing, but he has the incredible ability to keep his grades up and still hit the stage pleasing fans across the country.  He had just finished his finals (as most college students are either in the process of doing or studying up for them next week), so he was entitled to a little celebrating.

According to WRAL-TV, he and his friends were visiting in an apartment in Raleigh, N.C. when three men broke in and held them up by with guns. Police say the incident happened in the wee early morning hours.  Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the gunmen did take their wallets and cell phones.

Neighbors in the nearby apartments told WTVD-TV that it sounded like chaos in the apartment while it was happening.  One women said you could hear voices yelling “Who are you? What are you doing here?” for at least five minutes.

What a scary experience for the young artist and his friends.  Thoughts are with you as you cope with regaining your ability to trust and move on from this unfortunate experience!
