Schedule Changes Announced For Arlington Avenue Construction Project

As I wrote earlier, Arlington Avenue is scheduled to receive some resurfacing work.  While road construction is underway, the time that the road will be closed to through traffic has been revised.

According to St. Louis County, the revised schedule is as follows:

• Arlington Avenue - between Central Entrance and Arrowhead Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, August 24. The closure is expected to last 15 days.
• Following that, Arlington Avenue between Trinity Road and Central Entrance will close to through traffic beginning in mid-September, and lasting for approximately 15 days. Once an exact date is set, an updated schedule will be announced.

The work is part of a $2.6 million project to resurface nearly three miles of Arlington Avenue, a road traveled by approximately 11,000 vehicles every day.  All work should be done by late
October.
