Sara Evans has had a busy summer playing festivals and fairs around the country, but a recent accident threatened to slow her down. The artist shared a photo on Instagram this weekend indicating she injured herself when she took a spill down the stairs of the tour bus.

"Just another day on tour," Evans says dryly in the caption. "Last night I fell down the bus steps and today my knee is HUGE and I'm crying in pain! Just left doc. Pray for my show tonight!"

Fortunately it takes a little more than a knee injury to keep Evans down, and her Oct. 3 show at the Bloomsburg Fair in Bloomsburg, Pa., went on as scheduled. The photo shows she was able to get some medical attention, as the “Born to Fly” singer is wearing a brace on her left knee and using crutches.

Luckily, Evans has a few weeks to rest before her next show, which is scheduled in early November at the Shooting Star Casino in Minnesota. She’s set to perform regularly around the country throughout November and December. The singer recently performed with the legendary rock group REO Speedwagon on an episode of CMT Crossroads, which aired Sept. 9.

“I’ve been a huge fan of REO Speedwagon for as long as I can remember,” she said when it was announced. “Their songs have been a part of the soundtrack of my life and I’m thrilled to be joining them on stage for CMT Crossroads. It truly is a dream come true!”
