Routine Ramp Inspection Will Impact Duluth’s ‘Can Of Worms’ Interchange on Monday
If your daily travels take you through the the I-535/I-35 “Can of Worms” interchange in Duluth, be prepared to take an alternate route on Monday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that a routine ramp inspection, which helps ensure that the infrastructure is reliable and safe, will take place on Monday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
While all ramps will be open for morning and evening peak travel times, travelers outside of those times should be prepared for the following:
- The ramp from southbound Highway 53 to southbound Interstate 35 will close.
- The ramp from southbound Highway 53 to I-535/Blatnik Bridge will be reduced to a single lane.
Motorists are asked to be patient and drive carefully near the work zone areas.
