Although the morning started out cool, our temps should hit near 80 today, BEACH DAY!  Although, you should be aware that there is a Red Flag Warning until 10a for the Park Point Beach area.  Enjoy another fantastic Northland day with safety in mind.

The Duluth Fire Department issuded a Red Flag Warning for Park Point beaches yesterday and they say it will remain in effect until 10:00 a.m. today.

A Red Flag Warning means that wind and/or wave conditions support deadly rip currents. Rip currents are life-threatening to anyone entering the surf. Everyone should stay out of the water regardless of swimming experience.  This late in the season, there are no lifeguards at Park Point.

Surf conditions could improve before the warning period expires. Just check the Surf condition flags located at : 12th St beach, Lafayette Square, and Park Point beach.
