Mayor Ness was ill during the first scheduled State of the City Address, but is feeling good and ready for the event re-scheduled for tonight.  Here's the skinny, if you want to go.

The annual Duluth State of the City address takes place tonight, April 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the DECC, Lake Superior Ballroom. The program will feature Council President Dan Hartman followed by Mayor Don Ness's address at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is free and the entire community is invited to take part. The speech will be followed by employee recognition awards and the announcement of the 2011 Clarence Maddy award winner.

The State of the City address will be broadcast live on the Northlands News Center My9 station, which is channel 9 on Charter cable. The Mayor's address will be recorded and replayed on Public Access Community Television on channels 7, 16, and 20. The recorded event will also be accessible on the city’s website following the event.
