If you're looking to continue Grandma's Marathon momentum, or if it inspired you to try a race, then sign up now for Friday's Midnight Sun Midnight Run in Duluth.

The Midnight Sun Midnight Run on Friday, June 22 celebrates the arrival of summer in Duluth and, just as the name implies, this 5K takes place place at midnight (technically Saturday).

The race starts and ends in Canal Park, between the Canal Park Lodge and the Endion Station.  The course will take you up the Lakewalk towards Leif Erikson Park, then back again.  Of course there's a coolness factor to running at midnight, but it's even better when it's running along Lake Superior on a course mostly lit by Lakewalk lamps.

If you'd like to participate, use the link below to register as soon as possible as the event is limited to the first 450 paid participants.

Check in and late registration is available Friday from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Continental Ski and Bike and then on Friday from 10:00 p.m. - 11:45 p.m. near the starting line.
