Randy Travis Arrested on Alleged Public Intoxication Charges

Country music legend Randy Travis was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning in Sanger, Texas on on a charge of suspicion of public intoxication.

The Denton County Sheriff’s Department released information to NBC 5 in Dallas this morning, saying that Travis was cited for a Class C misdemeanor. Travis was picked up around 1:30 am Monday morning sitting in a car in front of a church smelling of alcohol with an open bottle of wine.

TMZ adds to the report that Travis and his girlfriend got in a fight prior to the incident. Report continues that Travis was released later in the morning, as is normal policy for this type of incident.
