Randy Houser is passionate about giving back to those who serve our country in the military, and on Father’s Day he had the opportunity to present one special military veteran with a huge thank you.

Before performing at the Buckeye Country Superfest at Ohio Stadium June 19, the artist, along with Operation Homefront and Eckrich, presented veteran Jon Fearnow and his family with a 2016 Chevy Colorado packed with $50,000 worth of tailgating gear, as well as a gift certificate for free groceries for a year at Kroger.

“Our military families make such tremendous sacrifices so that we have the freedom to go out every day and do what we love,” Houser says in a press release. “The Fearnow family has given this country so much, and I’m grateful and very humbled to have this opportunity through Eckrich to give something back to them and let them know how much we appreciate their service and the sacrifices they’ve made.”

Houser has partnered with Ekrich and Operation Homefront for years now, having presented several generous gifts like these to military families and even sent one family on a trip to Tuscon to hang out with him and go to his show. He also honors military service members and their families during his shows.

The “We Went” singer is currently on the road with Dierks Bentley’s Somewhere on a Beach Tour, and he recently tied the knot with Tatiana Starzynski. He also teamed up with the Peach Pickers to perform a benefit at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, which raised more than $100,000 for the Georgia Music Foundation. His most recent single, “Song Number 7,” is a clever power ballad off his latest record Fired Up, sure to keep climbing the charts.
