Even though foggy, cold, and rainy conditions persisted through the evening, hundreds of people visited Enger Tower in Duluth as it was lit up in purple as a tribute to the iconic Minnesotan and musical legend, Prince. Some played Prince songs from their cell phones while they looked on as others snapped photos and shared memories of the singer and his career with each other.

The parking lot was full before it was even dark, and a steady stream of cars toured through the lot, catching a glimpse of the tower through the evening. The tower lighting came by the request of a Duluth musician, who only saw it fit that Enger Tower be bathed in Prince's signature purple to honor him.
