THIS is exciting and yet another sign that summer is upon us (although you can't tell by how cold and windy it was last night)!  Soon we'll see the Iconic red Port Town Trolley lumbering through Duluth.  It's definitely a tourist favorite, but for locals it's a great way to get around Duluth in style!

This Sunday, June 5, the DTA's red trolley will be on the streets taking passengers for the 2016 season.  What a great way for you to Discover Duluth!  It will be making it's tour every 30 minutes between downtown Duluth, Canal Park and Bayfront Park and you can catch it daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. all the way through Labor Day.  If you have friends and family visiting from out of town and you don't all fit in one car, here's the solution where you can all ride together, take selfies and build those memories!

The cost to ride the Port Town Trolley fare is only $.50 cents with children four and under riding for free.  Or you can grab an Unlimited-ride DTA Day Pass for only $4 on board the Trolley and at the Downtown Transit Center.

The Port Town Trolley will allow travel to all the  downtown and Canal Park hotels, restaurants, retail shops and attractions like the Depot Museum, Great Lakes Aquarium, Excursion Dock, S/S Irvin Ore Boat and the Maritime Center.

All DTA riders should also note that schedule changes will also go into affect on Sunday, June 5.  All the route will be affected except for Route 18.  People had been asking for changes to the routes in downtown Duluth

The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will implement operational schedule changes to most of their bus routes on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Route 18 is the only bus route not being affected by this schedule change. All DTA passenger hand schedules and shelter schedules will be updated and distributed to the public approximately a week before the schedule changes go into effect.  They are also working to make the routing to work better with the class schedule at Lake Superior College.
