THIS is exciting.  It's a sign that summer has truly come to the Twin Ports when you see the iconic red Port Town Trolley on the streets of Duluth.  It's definitely a tourist favorite, but for locals it's a great way to get around Duluth in style!

This Saturday, June 6, the DTA's red trolley will be on the streets taking passengers for the 2015 season.  What a great way for you to Discover Duluth!  It circulates every 30 minutes between downtown Duluth, Canal Park and Bayfront Park and you can catch it daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. all the way through Labor Day.  If you have friends and family visiting from out of town and you don't all fit in one car, here's the solution where you can all ride together, take selfies and build those memories!

Another date to note is Monday, June 22nd.  That's when the Port Town Trolley will begin special DTA shuttle service between downtown and the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC) during reconstruction of the Northwest Passage Skywalk. The DTA special shuttle is FREE, but passengers on the Port Town Trolley will pay a $.50 cent fare.  A very small price to pay for travel.

The Port Town Trolley will allow travel to all the  downtown and Canal Park hotels, restaurants, retail shops and attractions. It's route runs along Superior Street between Lake Avenue and Sixth Avenue West and continues to Harbor Drive and Canal Park Drive.

The Trolley will be making stops at all downtown bus stops along West Superior Street. If you are looking for official Time Points, you can find the daily schedule listed in the Holiday Center, Radisson Hotel, Depot Museum, Great Lakes Aquarium, Excursion Dock, S/S Irvin Ore Boat and the Maritime Center.

While adults pay a fare of only $.50 cents to ride the Port Town Trolley, children four and under riding for FREE. Or, if you plan on using it as transportation the entire summer you may want to consider the Unlimited-ride DTA Day Passes for only $4 and available at the Downtown Transit Center.
