Home invasions are happening more and more.  It's sad that we can't feel safe in our own homes.  This time, it involved gunfire.  Can you help the police identify the suspects?

On Monday, April 9th 2012 at 11:43AM Duluth Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of East 8th Street where a homeowner returned to his home and found two unknown males inside and ordered them to leave. The 48 year old male homeowner said one of the suspects turned with something in his hand and he fired one round from his handgun at him. The suspects fled the home. It is unknown if either suspect was hit by gunfire or whether the suspects were armed. The suspects are described as follows:

1) Black male, medium complexion, 20-30 years old, 5’6” 150 pounds, short hair, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.

2) Black male, medium complexion, 20-30 years old, 5’10” 175 pounds, short hair and sideburns, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

A perimeter was set up and a K-9 ran a track in the area. Neither suspect has been located. A search warrant has been obtained for the residence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Duluth Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at (218) 730-5050. The investigation is continuing and no further information is available at this time.
