We are SO doing this!!!  If you are a runner AND a Minnesota Vikings fan, you have the opportunity to combine your two passions and participate in the Vikings Back to Football Run.  This is an opportunity that will prove to be both memorable and something you can cross off your bucket list.  Plus, there's a beer garden at the finish line! :)

Are ya with me?  This is a new event to be held on Saturday, September 21, so you have time to train.  The race will start at Target Field (another historic memory) and it will finish at the Mall of America Field. (formerly the metrodome).

This would debut prior to their home opener against the Cleveland Browns.  Besides the healthy aspect of the run, you as a Vikings fan would be sharing in the glory of the gridiron by  the 5K (3.1 mile) distance. This truly is a unique opportunity,  to run across the finish line at the Mall of America Field, the home of the Vikes.

"The return of football season in Minnesota is a special time of year, and this is a great event for fans to come together and celebrate their team in a positive and healthy way,” said Vikings Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer Steve LaCroix. "We’re proud to be part of a series of races that also supports the league’s commitment to healthy families and our PLAY 60 initiative to combat childhood obesity.”

Afterwards, there is a post-race tailgate party with live entertainment and a Beer Garden.  Plus, all participants will receive an official race shirt.  You can say, been there, done that and got the T-shirt!!!! The event also includes a Vikings PLAY 60 Fun Run for kids, which also finishes at the stadium, so bring the family.

The race is part of the NFL Back to the Football Run Series, which features 5K and 10K races in partnership with the NFL and several of its Member Clubs. 12-14 different Clubs are expected to hold races in their cities this year.

Chat with your family and make the decision to attend and run.  Event registration is now available.
