While kids may be dreading going back to school, their parents are dancing in the streets.

A new survey has found 76% of parents are happy their children are returning to school. This statistic comes despite the fact 83% of parents said they were happy their little ones would be home for the summer, proving they are probably worn out once the calendar turns to September.

And parents seem to also have a different understanding of the phrase ‘stay in school.’ That’s because 44% say they’d like school to last school longer each day and 47% want school to last more months.

As for homework, 51% of parents say they would swap it for a longer school day. Seventy percent of parents say their kids get the right amount of homework, while 17% say it’s too much and 13% say it’s not enough.
