Our kindergartner has a challenge at school that is taking place starting today.  It's called "No Screen Week."   It encourages kids to do other things than watch TV, play video games, or stare at a kindle.  It sounded like a great idea until my wife said I wasn't allowed screens either.

Obviously I need to be on the computer for work, and this is all about after work.  Our usual routine involves plopping down on the couch and watching TV together from about 7pm on.  But not this week!

What. The. Heck.   What am I going to do without my smartphone and apps?  No Facebook?  No video games... NO TV???

How bad is it when I consider watching TV together quality time?  What are we going to do?  Talk to each other?  Play board games?  Stare at the wall together?

I don't even own a book to read.  Is that allowed if it's on a kindle?   This is CRAZY!

I'll fill you in tomorrow after the first day and let you know how it goes.
